 When Nokia announces in February 2007 that it prepares to place on the market one 6110, some memories underwent a shock. Between curiosity and doubts, considerable those which knew the first generation of GSM remember this top-of-the-range telephone Nokia called 6110 and marketed from… 1998. In its version 2007, which does not have any similarity absolutely, Nokia takes care to give him the Navigator suffix in order to specify that a module GPS is integrated there. The choice of the name of this apparatus leaves all the same perplexed. Even if nine years separate the two telephones, why take again this number?  After these somewhat useless considerations, that does hide behind this 6110 Navigator? After N95 and very recent Communicator E90, the 6110 Navigator becomes the third Nokia telephone to be had a module GPS. This smartphone S60 posts its functions GPS on its screen of 2,2 inches of diagonal posting 16 million colors using a simple support on a dedicated key. The 6110 will be delivered with a microSD charged with a local chart. The remote loading of new charts is carried out via the application Nokia Map Manager. The arrival of the 6110 Navigator is combined with the production of an accessory dedicated in order to attach the telephone to the windshield of the car.
